Emeline Albracht: Haunt the sales at garden centers, especially the ones that are going broke. That's the cheapest source of submersible pumps I've found. Off the shelf retail they charge too much, but as seasons end they get cheaper.There are sometimes adapters in the pump kits.Also look at the "Scientific Surplus" websites.
