Phil Kuarez: The bedroom is for privacy. So, I would say the laundry room. You have to think about how the visitors of the people who will eventually live in that house will need to use the bathroom and may need to use your laundry/workroom for some reason.

Ervin Laeger: Kind of torn on this one, but I think the bedroom might be preferable, stairs in the laundry room might make things feel a bit too crowded, plus when the machines are running wouldn't the noise travel right upstairs into the main living space? That would be my concern, trying to eat dinner! or relax and all you can hear is the washer on spin cycle....
