Manual Burtis: Where I live, air conditioning has to do with cool air not heated air. I have a dual unit at my house. In the summer the cool air comes from electric and in the winter the warm air comes from gas heat. I like the split. I could have chosen an electric heat and air. But I like the gas heat in the winter because it warms things up much faster. I think it's cheaper this way too.
Malcom Bourek: Heat pumps are by far more efficient. Go with at least a 16 SEER unit.
