Does anyone know a round about price on how much it would cost to remodel a 2 family apt.??

Germaine Tieken: Depending on where you live, etc, you will need to check with the town to see if you need permits for any of the work, inspections, licensed electricians and remodelers and plumbers, etc. If you are in an apartment complex, you also need to check to see if any of this is allowed in the complex. There is no way you will be able to get all of this done for less than $50K. There is too much that needs to be done, and from the sounds of it, sounds as if you're basically going to gut and remodel the apartments.Some of the work you might be able to do, but if you want peace of mind and sanity and not to have housing and property tax inspectors breathing down your neck you should interview several contractors for quotes as well.Take your time....Show more
