Coy Tapley: Nearly all cars made out of the US are good brands. Personally i prefer German - BMW, Mercedes, VW, Audi.
Otto Lingafelt: Japanese cars are proven to be the most reliable. If you associate reliability with 'best', then the answer is japanese....Honda, Toyota, Subaru and Mazda are the best. German cars are actually the least reliable vehicles....even less than GM, Ford and Chrysler.
