$2500 for a new car?

Nannie Kasee: that car is specificily made for Indian Market, their median income is around 2000 and is still too expensive for them at 2500. this car will never make it to the us becase just imagine get T-boned in that car, you're freakin dead. Also it's powered by a 30hp or 50hp motor, means it's impractical for us due to highway speed limit. Plus no ac, no radio, and no other safety features. cars for US market will never be that cheap, because in order to pass the federal regulations, crash test, it does cost money to research, experiment and safety implements do cost money....Show more

Kristina Brockwell: The TaTa is so cheap because it has no luxury items what so ever. No radio, Air conditioning, power steering, Anti-lock brakes, Etc. It's pretty much just a fancy golf cart. And they don't expect it t! o ever be released in the U.S. for this very reason.

Chastity Doderer: From what I read on the Tata Nano, I doubt it will ever make its way over to the US because it was designed to be driven in certain road conditions, and with the specs on that car, it will never be able to make it onto the US roads! I don't think you would be able to take that car onto a US highway. That's why the car is cheap, you pay for what you get.

Pearlie Medora: Well if you are not wanting gimmics and frivolous materials, you will find this car to be the tiniest car on the road. It makes the Toyota look like a luxury car. If you have seen the Wii commercial, there is a car very similar to it in the commercial. This car would be dangerous to drive in traffic like metro Houston, and motorists would flat out run over you. In the Clearlake area of Houston, there is one car that i! s like the one that is in the Wii commercial.
