Simona Bulwinkle: I disagree with the "no thinking" answer...i find that watching good movie or show can open up your mind and entertain you at the same time...personally i love to watch the acting ..I'm really critical and i appreciate a good performance...also when something is well written you have to just stop and appreciate it...its a type of art for someone to write and act something that can make you laugh or cry...its one of the only art forms that universal left these days (kind of sad for me to say as I'm getting my masters in art history) not to say that there is a lot of crap out there....i just don't bother with it....i hate all that overly commercialized poorly written, bottom line crap....people are a lot smarter then these networks and teams of movie producers give them credit for....i know not everyone likes movies and TV and that's not a bad thing....but i just appreciate good writing and acting...just don't let yourself be! come dumbed down by the crap out there....be selective...Show more
Matt Gerdeman: How are they not entertaining? They take us out of reality for a while and give us a chuckle, or suspense, and etc.
