Catheryn Barringer: I think that 'single' part needs to be removed from parenting.I also think people need to take more time to build a relationship and they need to take more time trying to make it work.
Octavio Roylance: Frank -- so, if it is a joint custody situation, where both parents are as actively involved as their parenting agreement will allow, can either call themselves a 'single mom' or 'single dad'?
Marvella Benward: no. the father doesn't necessarily remain single, as you've noted, but also he could father children from multiple single moms.and to tell you the truth, when I think of a "single" mom or dad, that means she/he is raising kids alone...which would make the other person just "single", unless they are in a relationship with someone else. technically, they are biological parents because they provide the genetic material but they don't do any "parenting" otherwise....Show more
