Shon Almquist: Sensory projects are great. Do you have a sensory bin in your room? There are tons of things you can do with these.
Delora Struzzi: I liked to work with clay when I was kid. It is very cheap and easy to use. There are so many kinds so be sure to look for non-toxic ones. To set up your work space you can use a news paper to cover the surface where you are going to work. It's good idea to put some tape on the corners of the paper so it doesn't move, or use a garbage bag to wrap the surface of the table. As a model, you can use any object with a simple shape so the kids can follow it. Something good about working with clay is that you can develop the project over the time. So, for example one day you can make the model of a pot, you can also add decoration to it like stones, wood, etc. Then some other day, when it is dry you can paint it and later on you can add potting soil and seeds. I hope this gives you some ideas....Show more
