Javier Holsonback: My advice is to take your question to an academic adviser at a university. The requirements for entry into teacher training programs are very specific and vary from province to province. You need to make sure that you have satisfied all prerequisites with your respective coursework and degrees. You don't want to spend more time and money in university than needed. For example, primary teacher programs usually require a certain number of Canadian Studies (ex, history, geography), Math, and Science (with lab component) courses. Sometimes only students with undergraduate degrees in common, school-taught academic areas (ex, English, History, Physical Education, Math, one of the sciences, Art, Music, etc...) are allowed. So, for example, someone with a degree in Applied Business might not be eligible for entry into a post-degree program. This is what it is like in my province. Again, every province is different. So it's very important that you visit an academi! c adviser before you start making big decisions that will affect you later. Plan out your academic road map with them....Show more
