Are nokia cell phones all unlocked?

Eliseo Luma: the finland kind and the chinese kind except for the american kind the best kind is the finland kind

Joeann Hoyt: it basically means that when you click a button on the phone it won't activate what you've clicked..but you click a certain pattern of two buttons to unlock it so that you can use all the buttons..theres a way to deactivate this

Logan Bero: Uhh, the 3 people above me have no clue...Nokia unlocked cell phone means it can be activated on another carrier if you need it to be most likely. Nokia doesn't lock their phones by choice, it's usually by carrier. For instance, Sprint phones are all locked, Verizon phones typically aren't locked. Hope this helps....Show more

Angelyn Ducas: So how do i kno if it is unlocked? i ordered it off the internet, from nokiausa.com, will i be able to activate it on pay as you go at&t

Hilde Heskett: What do you mean by locked and unlocked, do you mean if you don't have service. If so there isnt! any difference exept you cant text and call

Hipolito Rightmire: 2

Raven Purl: a locked cell phone is basically locked to one network i.e Verizon.. etc so if you put a sim card from another network in i.e AT&T it won't work.Nokia phones don't differ from other phone manufacturers in that they can be locked to one network or open to all networks (unlocked)
