How do you write poetry?

answers1: I most times write the rhyming type poems..i have for many years. <br>
I have some old ones i re-do,Most were from news events and dark. <br>
I also wrote one about someone i knew that hung themselves years ago
on Christmas eve. <br>
That was terrible to write,but everyone liked it.You can check my

I made up in seconds.no rhymes,but nasty.To scare people. <br>
Lately i wrote a few >what i consider ,,trash< love poems and heartbreak. <br>
Of course everyone thought it was a bout me,So,when you write <br>

answers2: Get a piece of paper, and a pencil. <br>
Think of an idea, setting, person, action, something. <br>
(Look up poetry forms, to decide you want to do) <br>
You can write a poem that has short lines that rhyme, <br>
or you can write a poem that's basically a story, which is free verse. <br>

Poetry is written so differently by a lot of people.
answers3: I don't write poetry, but i write song lyrics. I'll use bits
of my songwriting process to help you out. <br>

I guess what I'd recommend is before starting, decide what you want
your poem to be about. Make a list of words and phrases that go along
with your theme that you might like to include. Maybe even longer
phrases or sentences. Soon, you'll find the words coming more
naturally.
answers4: the basic thing is to get the last words of line to rhyme on
every other line <br>
like line1-3 and 2-4
answers5: look at different examples of poems and that's all i can
really say. I've never written poems before but i have little goes
when i feel sad. It's mostly just descriptive words. Look up literary
devices for poems. I think i've got a poem somewhere on my page in the
"about me" bit and that was a first-time try for me.... but im not
sure.
